Now in its 5th year, Kids Really Rock is a FREE all-day family festival that features two stages of performances by nationally-acclaimed, family-friendly bands for all-day entertainment, as well as hands-on art and activities that focus on kindness and building community. Families who are able are asked to bring Play-Doh for our very special Play-Doh Drive for Horizons for Homeless Children’s play centers, located in shelters across the state.
The all-star lineup includes some of the country’s best musicians, many based in Boston: Latin Grammy Award Winner Mister G; Grammy Nominee Alastair Moock; (Kids Really Rock creator) Karen K & the Jitterbugs; Josh & the Jamtones; Ben Rudnick & Friends; Debbie & Friends; Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys; the Stacey Peasley Band; Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys; and, for the special After Party, hip-hop artist Kabir Sen and the amazing Mr. Aaron Band.
In addition, The Lawn On D will be packed with activities focused on kindness, community and creativity, like hands-on art projects created and overseen by some of the best art studios for kids in greater Boston; fitness games and activities; a musical playground where people of all ages can explore and play drums and percussion instruments; and more.
